CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change refers to changes in the average conditions - temperature and rainfall in an area over a long period of time. For example, earlier United Nations was mostly covered with glaciers but, today we have warmer climate and very few glaciers.

CAUSES OF CLIMATE CHANGE

There are lot of factors that lead to the changes in Earth’s climate. Scientists have discovered that in past 50-100 years the Earth is becoming warmer and the main reason behind that was human activties.

Human activities such as burning fuel in factories, vehicles and burning fossils fuels other humans activities , such as agriculture and deforestation ,also contribute to the prolife station of greenhouse gases that cause climate change . These changes can lead to change in the atmosphere to trap more heat than it used to be, leading to a warmer Earth .

IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE

Global climate change refers to the average long term changes over the entire Earth . These make a lot of changes in Earth’s warming such as :

1. Rising sea levels
2. Shrinking mountain glaciers
3. Ice melting at a faster rate than usual
4. Changes in flower and plant blooming times
5. Health of people

Earth’s climate has constantly been changing after humans came, because of the humans day to day activities the Earth is getting affected very much. Scientists, worried about the sudden increase in the warming. When the whole Earth’s temperature changes by one or two degrees, it will have a big impact on the health of Earth’s plants, animals and its human beings.

SOLUTIONS OF CLIMATE CHANGE

While the effects of climate change are huge but there is still a hope that we can overcome it .By taking the measures we may never see the worst consequences. Some of the practical ways in which we can overcome the climate change:

1. Purchase Renewable Energy Certificate for your home power needs
2. Make your home energy efficient
3. Reducing food waste
4. Recycle ,Reuse ,Reduce
5. Stop using fossil fuels
6. Stop deforestation
